May 2012 – Oystercatcher’s best-ever award season continues with a Gold Award of Excellence at the Communicator Awards. Our HER2 educational video for Genentech has won two awards at the Communicator awards for Use of Animation and Educational Use! This brings Oystercatcher’s award total to 9 already in 2012!

April 2012 – The Oystercatcher streak of award winning videos continues! Our newest video, a facility tour video for the new Community Tissue Services processing plant in Dayton, OH has won a Telly Award for Corporate Image. This video represents a successful use of DSLR production techniques in highlighting a medical device manufacturing facility. Congratulations to the entire team at CTS and Oystercatcher on producing this exciting marketing video.

Oystercatcher’s Genentech HER2 animation wins two Tellys!

February 2012 – Oystercatcher animations continue to pull in awards! Our educational video for Pathologists and Oncologists has been recognized in our industry for it’s Use of Animation and it’s Educational Messaging. This 7-minute animated tutorial outlines best practices in testing for HER2 breast cancer. Our video team wrote the script, created all illustrations and animations from scratch, and produced original sound design and music for this animated video. Congrats to our team for producing such innovative work.

Telly Awards for the UCCDC animated video

February 2012 – Oystercatcher just received word that the UCCDC animated video has been awarded two 2012 Telly Awards. We were recognized for “use of animation” in a promotional piece, and as an overall Fundraising production in non-broadcast productions. We are very proud to produce award winning work for our local Chicago clients!

December 2011 – We are pleased to announce that our animation-style video for the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center’s 2011 fundraising campaign has been recognized by The Summit International Awards. The video won the 2011 Innovator Award in the Emerging Media Award category. This animated video shares information on Celiac Disease as well as presents the UCCDC’s many accomplishments as an industry leader.

March 2011 – Oystercatcher has received a 2011 Telly Award for Press Ganey’s “Improving the Quality of Health Care: 25 Years and Counting”. We are excited to create work for our clients that is recognized in our industry.

Accepted into 2 Film Festivals

January 2011 – The First and Only Lesson, Oystercatcher’s first short film has been accepted into the 27th Chicago Latino Film Festival and the Sacramento International Film Festival. This 22-minute short fiction was produced in association with Parea Films and Teatro Vista, and features a mother and daughter and the secret flying technique.
